Equipped with leading-edge technology, Central Baptist Hospital's emergency department is ready to respond to the emergency medical needs of the Bluegrass. As one of Lexington's busiest emergency departments, we treat  33,000 plus medical emergencies a year.

Staffing

Our emergency department is staffed with dedicated board-certified physicians and nurses who have successfully completed Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Nursing Core Trauma Nurse Course, and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course. The staff is trained to provide a full range of medical care for patients of all ages with all types of medical problems, from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

Physician specialists in family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, plastic & reconstructive surgery and ophthalmology provide on-call coverage 24 hours a day as needed.
